Tomato soup tastes great in the winter. Simply combine some chicken stock, ripe tomatoes, a little bit of cream, and a little bit of salt and pepper. Bring all of the ingredients to a boil and then puree if you would like a creamy soup.

Pasta sauce is a great way to use up over ripened tomatoes. Saute diced tomatoes along with some onions, garlic, and celery. Mushrooms also add some good flavour. 

Serve with pasta and you have a fantastic meal.
